Production Technician

General:
Our client is seeking a hands-on Production Technician to support our gel manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone with experience in small-scale production who is eager to learn and master new techniques that demand precision and attention to detail. The technician will play a key role in ensuring product quality, consistency, and safety throughout the manufacturing process.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions. A collaborative, results-oriented mindset is essential.

This is an on-site position based in a laboratory/production environment, reporting to the Director of Gel Manufacturing & Engineering. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday (40 hours per week), with occasional overtime as needed to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities
The Production Technician will perform tasks to assist team members in the production and lab work.  As experience in the roles grows and under appropriate supervision, responsibilities will include:
  • Execute manufacturing processes to ensure timely and efficient gel production
  • Preparing materials, chemicals, tooling, equipment, and work areas for production and engineering activities
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of consumables and supplies
  • Handle chemicals, including storing, retrieving, weighing, mixing, and coating
  • Record production data and enter information into internal databases
  • Assemble, disassemble, clean, and maintain production equipment
  • Perform quality control inspections, testing, documentation, and product disposition (release or quarantine)
  • Prepare, label, and package our client’s products for shipment
  • Regular cleaning and organization of production and laboratory areas
  • Support cross-functional teams and assist with additional tasks as needed

Requirements:
  • Highschool diploma, associate degree in technical field preferred
  • Prior experience in small-scale manufacturing or laboratory environments preferred
  • Strong hand dexterity and ability to perform precise, detailed work
  • Proven attention to quality and detail in prior roles
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data entry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
