Lab Supervisor

Summary:
Seeking an experienced laboratory professional to supervise daily lab operations, lead staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves overseeing technical workflows, supporting process improvements, and maintaining high-quality laboratory practices.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate daily laboratory activities to maintain efficient and compliant operations.
- Mentor and guide laboratory personnel, promoting a culture of accountability and ongoing development.
- Supervise and execute Hybridization Capture procedures and related laboratory workflows.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and quality systems within the laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and scientific teams to drive process improvements and resolve deviations.
- Monitor laboratory instruments, troubleshoot technical issues, and escalate concerns as needed.
- Organize scheduling, manage workload distribution, and plan resources for laboratory staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation, standard operating procedures, and records in line with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of laboratory experience, preferably in a clinical or diagnostics setting.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Hybridization Capture workflows.
- Knowledge of CLIA regulations and experience in a CLIA-certified laboratory.
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a laboratory environment.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to data integrity and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences field preferred.
- Experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) or genomics diagnostics is a plus.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and quality management platforms preferred.
- ASCP certification or equivalent laboratory credential is advantageous.
