Summary:
Seeking a Scientist, Formulation & Drug Delivery to advance the development of biologic medicines, focusing on innovative drug delivery solutions and high-concentration formulations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a transformative platform in the life sciences sector, working closely with leadership and R&D teams to drive impactful scientific and operational initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the design and optimization of biologic formulations, emphasizing protein stability and subcutaneous delivery methods.
- Plan, execute, and analyze both in vitro and in vivo studies to assess formulation efficacy and product characteristics.
- Develop and implement analytical workflows for biologics characterization, including stability, aggregation, and activity assessments.
- Present technical findings and lead scientific discussions with internal teams and external collaborators.
- Produce high-quality experimental data and communicate results through detailed reports, presentations, and grant materials.
- Contribute to scientific, operational, and strategic projects, adapting to evolving priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Stay current with scientific literature and industry trends to inform research and development strategies.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support the advancement of drug delivery technologies and company growth.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Biotechnology, Drug Delivery, Pharmaceutics, Biomaterials, Biomedical Engineering, Polymers, or a related field.
- Extensive wet-lab experience in formulation development, biologics, protein therapeutics, or drug delivery.
- Expertise in one or more of the following: protein formulation, high-concentration biologics, microparticle-based delivery, hydrogel systems, injectable formulations, or advanced manufacturing systems.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong scientific writing abilities with a record of publications, reports, patents, or grant applications.
- Demonstrated leadership potential, with the ability to drive initiatives and energize teams.
- Versatile, proactive mindset with a willingness to take on varied responsibilities as needed.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment with evolving priorities.
- Creative and analytical thinker, able to translate complex scientific concepts into practical solutions and clear narratives.
