Soldering Technician

Work Location: Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Summary:

Seeking a detail-oriented Soldering Technician to support the development and assembly of advanced medical devices. This full-time, on-site role involves hands-on work with microelectronic soldering, prototype assembly, and compliance with regulatory standards in a professional laboratory and office environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform rework and testing of electronic printed circuit board assemblies for medical devices.
  • Track and document progress of rework activities to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Assist in research and development of new components, assemblies, and processes in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Support engineering tasks including design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype devices and test equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with quality system procedures and regulatory requirements throughout all processes.
  • Utilize advanced soldering techniques, including micro soldering under a microscope, for high-density interconnect circuits.
  • Operate soldering equipment, microscopes, and lasers with appropriate training provided as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with team members regarding project status and technical issues.

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in microelectronic soldering and rework, including HDI circuits and micro soldering under a microscope.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Background in medical device assembly is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO or FDA-type design control environments preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate soldering skills during the interview process.
  • Advanced fine motor skills and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment) required.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Comfortable working in both office and laboratory settings, using standard office and specialized technical equipment.
