Job Title: Project Manager - Remote

Work Location: Hillsborough County, Florida

Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating complex clinical research initiatives, particularly in late-stage cardiovascular trials. This role involves managing project plans, timelines, and deliverables, while ensuring effective collaboration among research teams, sponsors, CROs, and vendors. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as experience in multisite clinical research project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional clinical research projects, ensuring alignment and timely execution across all stakeholders.
  • Develop, update, and track project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for trial startup, site onboarding, and vendor implementation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and proactively resolve issues to maintain schedules.
  • Facilitate collaboration among research leadership, operations, legal, finance, and external partners for seamless project execution.
  • Assist in planning and implementing new vendor partnerships and technology solutions to enhance research operations.
  • Organize and support meetings, including sponsor sessions, internal planning, team meetings, and conferences, managing agendas and follow-ups.
  • Prepare and distribute project updates, summaries, and materials for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at scaling research operations and support additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3–5+ years of project management experience in a multisite clinical research network, CRO, sponsor, or academic research setting.
  • Understanding of late-stage (Phase II–IV) clinical trial organization and startup processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, communication, PowerPoint, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project management software such as Monday.com, Wrike, or similar platforms.
  • Experience in cardiovascular clinical research is preferred.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
  • Passion for clinical research and improving patient access to therapies.
  • High energy, integrity, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Detail-oriented, execution-focused, and skilled at building scalable processes.
  • Excellent communicator, able to coordinate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and enjoys creating structure in evolving environments.
