Senior Electrical Engineer: Hardware Development

Work Location: Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Summary:

Seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead hardware development, including design, testing, and manufacturing support for advanced electronic products. This role requires expertise in RF product design, PCB development, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in the creation of system requirements, specifications, and hardware project planning for new product development.
  • Design, debug, and verify electrical components, including analog, digital, and RF mixed signal circuits, ensuring compliance with safety and EMC standards.
  • Develop and document circuit schematics, bills of materials, and engineering drawings for PCB assemblies, supporting DFMA and DFT processes.
  • Transfer PCB designs to contract manufacturers, act as liaison for design issues, and support prototype and released product manufacturing.
  • Develop manufacturing and test instructions, and collaborate with certification labs to ensure products meet regulatory and environmental requirements (including RoHS).
  • Drive hardware improvement initiatives and provide ongoing support for manufacturing activities and risk management processes.
  • Apply expertise in RF product design, tuning, debugging, and custom antenna development for protocols such as BLE, WIFI, and LTE.
  • Perform system design and implementation for high-speed radio, external memory, interface connectors, and power management, as well as other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline strongly preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, including RF and hardware development.
  • Proficiency in electronics engineering design principles for analog, digital, and RF mixed signal designs.
  • Experience with electrical/RF engineering for medical devices and familiarity with IEC 60601 standards for EMC design and testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality product designs on schedule.
  • Skilled in CAD and simulation tools for circuit and PCB design.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with logical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated, patient, and diligent.
  • Ability to travel 5%-10% to support customers as needed.
  • Physical ability to use office equipment, sit for prolonged periods, and, in the field, walk, lift up to 30 lbs, bend, climb, stoop, and travel by car or plane.
  • Advanced fine motor skills and specific vision abilities required for detailed engineering work.
