Summary:
The Fragrance Lab Tech is responsible for preparing product samples, supporting perfumers and application requests, maintaining laboratory standards, and ensuring the quality and stability of developed products through precise laboratory practices.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize product samples for various departments and proactive projects, ensuring timely completion of profiles.
- Collaborate closely with perfumers to maintain workflow, anticipate daily priorities, and compound formulas for both perfumers and application sample requests.
- Maintain a continuous inventory of raw materials required for product manufacturing and application lab demonstrations.
- Document all sample preparations and laboratory tasks in a neat and organized laboratory notebook, adhering to ISO 9001 requirements.
- Follow all safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment as needed while handling chemicals, including fragrances.
- Conduct laboratory evaluations and test methods with high accuracy to ensure product stability, efficacy, and quality.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask, solve problems, and meet project deadlines while working both independently and collaboratively in a lab environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, remaining accountable for all defined responsibilities and supporting a safe, organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- College credits offset by relevant work experience; Bachelor of Science or related scientific field preferred.
- Experience working with chemicals, including fragrances, and ability to wear personal protective equipment.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, sit, and lift 5-10 lbs repeatedly as required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in laboratory documentation and sample preparation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented lab environment or independently as needed.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining laboratory standards.
