Summary:

This position offers a high-impact opportunity to shape patient identification, referral, and treatment pathways in the cornea space. The role focuses on expanding keratoconus detection and referral activity through the optometric channel, driving market promotion and customer engagement, and building scalable programs to grow screening and strengthen referral networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute strategies to expand keratoconus screening and referral pathways within the optometric community.
  • Develop and implement positioning, messaging, and value propositions focused on disease awareness, detection, and interventional keratoconus.
  • Create and deploy targeted campaigns and sales enablement tools (digital, print, field) to engage optometrists and encourage referrals to ophthalmology treatment centers.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and campaign performance to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with communication teams to develop and engage key opinion leaders (KOLs) through congresses, peer-to-peer programs, and presentations.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams in sales, medical affairs, market access, clinical, finance, and operations to ensure effective execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Manage external vendors and budgets to deliver compliant, high-quality marketing programs.
  • Travel approximately 35% for congresses, field engagement, and KOL activities.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience, including medical device or pharmaceutical marketing within ophthalmology or eyecare.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA/MS) preferred.
  • Strong product marketing and campaign execution experience with demonstrated impact.
  • Deep understanding of the optometric landscape, referral dynamics, and optometrist engagement strategies.
  • Established relationships with key opinion leaders in the optometric community.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Highly self-directed with strong project management and execution skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 35% as needed.
