Job Title: Clinical Dietician

Work Location: Los Angeles County, California

Summary:

This PRN position supports a 337-day clinical study involving overweight adults participating in a weight loss drug trial. The Clinical Dietician will provide individualized nutrition plans and ongoing counseling, with an estimated 13–14 onsite visits throughout the study. Scheduling is flexible and will be determined after participant enrollment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized nutrition counseling and develop tailored nutrition plans for study participants throughout the 337-day clinical trial.
  • Meet with participants approximately every four weeks to review food diaries, assess progress, and provide ongoing support.
  • Monitor participant adherence to nutrition plans and document progress at each scheduled visit.
  • Collaborate with the study team to ensure participant needs are met and address any concerns related to the sensitive nature of the study.
  • Participate in approximately 13–14 onsite visits during the study, with some flexibility for remote sessions as needed.
  • Adjust scheduling and visit frequency based on participant enrollment and study requirements.
  • Support a small cohort of 4–8 participants, ensuring personalized attention and care.
  • Contribute to the study’s success by providing compassionate, patient-centered care and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required.
  • Experience providing nutrition counseling and developing individualized nutrition plans.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to the needs of participants in clinical research settings.
  • Ability to commit to a PRN schedule with approximately 13–14 onsite visits over the course of the study.
  • Prior clinical research experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Availability to begin work in late August or early September.
