Job Title: Contract Research Associate, LNP Sciences

Work Location: Middlesex County, Massachusetts

Summary:

Seeking a motivated Contract Research Associate to support the discovery and early development of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery systems. This position offers hands-on experience in RNA delivery, particle characterization, and cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic scientific environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analytical assays to generate reproducible data for LNP and targeted LNP formulations using various techniques such as plate-based assays, DLS, HPLC/FPLC, ELISA, and particle analysis methods.
  • Prepare LNP samples and test articles following established protocols to ensure consistency, throughput, and data quality.
  • Accurately record, organize, and report experimental results in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date electronic lab notebook for all experiments and data.
  • Collaborate with scientists to support study execution, manage workload, and meet project deadlines.
  • Present experimental results and key findings during team meetings.
  • Assist in the production and characterization of novel LNP and targeted LNP formulations for hepatic and extrahepatic applications.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced research environment, supporting cross-functional project needs as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field with hands-on wet-lab research experience.
  • Experience with at least two of the following: HPLC/FPLC, DLS, plate-based assays, ELISA, Coulter counter, or similar analytical platforms.
  • Prior experience with targeting ligands, binder conjugation, antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), or high throughput methods is a strong plus.
  • Experience with LNPs, cell and gene therapy, protein biotherapeutics, or related systems is a plus.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and data integrity, especially in executing repeat experiments.
  • Ability to independently follow established protocols and deliver reliable results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a team setting.
