Job Title: Project Manager

Work Location: Harris County, Texas

Summary:

The Project Manager oversees engineering and construction projects for regional wastewater treatment facilities, managing all phases from conception to completion. This role involves coordinating project teams, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards, and supporting facility operations through expert project management and engineering guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering and construction projects for wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate project teams in the development, review, and execution of design plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Oversee project organization, scheduling, implementation, and start-up activities, maintaining accurate and timely project reports.
  • Conduct analyses and reviews of assets and capital projects, including cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and justifications.
  • Communicate effectively with facility managers, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate project objectives.
  • Prepare and coordinate reports, audits, and documentation with agencies, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive project, financial, and proprietary information throughout all project phases.
  • Perform additional project management, engineering, and special assignments as required, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of ten years of engineering experience, including at least five years in project management, design, and construction for capital projects.
  • Experience in wastewater project management; experience in petrochemical or petroleum refining industries is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects using stage/gate or similar project delivery processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and implementing state and federal regulations, contract documents, technical manuals, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of civil, chemical, or environmental engineering principles, including strength of materials, surveying, and soil mechanics.
  • Ability to perform complex engineering calculations and field work in industrial environments, including exposure to extreme conditions.
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer in Texas is preferred or eligibility to apply within one year of employment.
  • Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License and ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including full face respirator and supplied air, and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and facilitate project objectives from inception to completion.
