Summary:

Seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to support 2nd shift manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment, utilities, and systems function safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This position is ideal for individuals who excel at technical problem-solving, can work independently, and thrive in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, utilities, and systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with cGMP standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve a range of mechanical and equipment issues, supporting continuous improvement and production demands.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment usage in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements.
• Participate in validation activities for equipment, utilities, and plant systems as needed.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to maintain equipment reliability and support facility-wide improvement projects.
• Identify and source replacement parts using technical documentation and manuals.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
• Perform additional duties and support other maintenance activities as assigned to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

• High School, Trade School, or Vocational Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in solid oral dosage pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Ability to identify and source replacement parts using manuals and technical documentation.
• Good math and computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office and some experience with SAP.
• Operational understanding and troubleshooting experience with manufacturing equipment such as blenders, sifters, mills, printing machines, dust collectors, tablet dedusters, and packaging equipment.
• Basic operational and troubleshooting knowledge of medium-level equipment including compression machines, high shear mixers, film coaters, and capsule fillers.
• Hands-on electrical knowledge and basic understanding of cGMP and OSHA regulations.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; English proficiency at CEFR Basic A2 level.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and control diagrams.
• Experience with electrical and controls troubleshooting using instruments such as multimeters.
• Welding and plumbing experience, including sweating copper tubing.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and troubleshooting via Building Management Systems.
• Experience with compressed air and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to fabricate sheet metal guards and simple replacement parts.
• Black Seal Boiler License and HVAC Certification preferred.
