Manufacturing Technician

Contract to Permanent (1 month temp then conversion to permanent employee)
In this position you will work with your team and shift supervisor to create a variety of manufactured products. This involves operating manufacturing equipment such as cooling tunnels, filling machines, process vessels, mixers and other product- and process-specific equipment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the preparation of raw materials, measuring/weighing, pouring/mixing ingredients, filling bottles using a filling machine, applying caps and product labels, filling and loading bins, quality control, and cleanup. The manufacturing technician will also work to complete finished manufactured products. This is an ideal position for someone who pays attention to detail and can work quickly while maintaining a high level of quality. The technician will check finished product for quality, in addition to boxing and storing. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) cleaning containers and equipment, applying caps, printing labels using a high-quality printer, quality control, affixing labels to containers, making boxes, casing product into boxes, stocking inventory, and cleanup.

Job Requirements
- To properly perform the duties that come with the job, you will need to be able to be on your feet for entire 8 hour shifts, lift objects up to 50 pounds, read, write and understand internal documentation and follow established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for established standard operating procedures and manufacturing processes.
- The successful candidate will be expected to be trained on and perform a variety of manufacturing activities ranging from product assembly and product filling to direct product manufacturing.
- The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to be flexible with the work needs of the company.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance are essential to the position.
- Some previous manufacturing experience is preferred. Mechanical inclination (working with various types of equipment) and high attention to detail will be highly valued in this position.
- Forklift operation experience preferred (but not required).
- The successful candidate should have the ability to use a computer and have a working knowledge of basic computer programs (MS Word and MS Excel).
- Experience using Bartender Professional label-making software is also desired.
- The successful candidate should have effective communication skills and be proficient in reading, writing, and basic math skills.
- The successful candidate should be capable or working and collaborating effectively with other team members and fostering team unity with their actions and words.
