Job Title: Contract Biologist (SRA)

Work Location: Middlesex County, Massachusetts

Summary:

Seeking a motivated Senior Research Associate with expertise in cell-based screening assays to support drug modality development for cancer. This long-term contract role involves characterizing cellular effects of peptides and requires a detail-oriented, energetic individual capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute cell-based screening assays across multiple cell lines using techniques such as AlphaLISA, HiBiT, cell proliferation, and ELISA.
  • Conduct molecular and biochemical assays, including western blot, ELISA, and qPCR, to support sample analysis.
  • Process ex vivo samples and perform downstream analyses as required.
  • Maintain accurate records, analyze experimental data, and present findings to the team.
  • Collaborate with project leads to address program needs and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot assay protocols to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of experiments for cellular characterization of peptides.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and communicate progress and challenges effectively.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in cell biology, biochemistry, or related field with 4+ years of industry experience, or M.S. with 2+ years of industry experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical settings.
  • Proven experience in high-throughput cellular assay development, cell transfection, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail, motivation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
