Job Title: Manufacturing Manager

Work Location: York County, Pennsylvania

Summary:

Lead and oversee daily operations in chemical manufacturing, focusing on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Manage workforce development, implement best practices, and support product development and process optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily chemical manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimizing productivity, quality, and delivery performance.
• Ensure all team members are properly trained and oriented, maintaining a safe and effective work environment with a focus on associate well-being and environmental practices.
• Set operational priorities to meet business objectives and customer commitments, supporting departmental goals and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor key performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement actions to enhance process and product quality.
• Drive cost, safety, and delivery improvements through targeted continuous improvement activities.
• Support product development and facilitate smooth transitions to commercial production, contributing to sales growth.
• Identify and assess new technologies and process improvements, collaborating with engineering and customers to evaluate, install, and validate equipment.
• Manage workforce planning, performance expectations, career development, and training, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and professional culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in a management or supervisory role, preferably in chemical operations, mixing, finishing technologies, or web processing.
• Strong leadership, influencing, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving abilities to address equipment, scheduling, quality, safety, and personnel issues.
• Proficiency with manufacturing computer systems and standard desktop software applications.
• Experience and training in statistical methodology for problem solving and process control optimization.
• Operational practice and systems experience with relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, LEAN, Six Sigma).
• Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned and travel periodically to customers or suppliers as needed.
