Job Title: Director, Nursing & Study Operations

Summary:

Seeking a dynamic leader to oversee nursing teams and clinical research operations in oncology. This dual-function role ensures high-quality patient care and efficient study conduct, while driving operational excellence and supporting growth initiatives. The position collaborates across multiple departments to maintain compliance and optimize workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams including Clinical Research Coordinators, Data Coordinators, Medical Records staff, Clinic Nurses, Infusion Nurses, Nurse Navigators, Referral Intake, and Scheduling personnel.
• Oversee training, coaching, and competency development to ensure alignment with organizational values and standards.
• Promote patient-centered care and research delivery, ensuring quality and compliance across clinical and study workflows.
• Manage operational processes such as referral intake, scheduling, patient navigation, study startup, and protocol feasibility assessments.
• Supervise implementation and use of clinical documentation systems (CTMS, EHR), ensuring accurate data capture and audit readiness.
• Serve as a liaison to investigators and cross-functional teams, supporting protocol review, feasibility, and compliant care delivery.
• Drive continuous process improvement, track key performance metrics, and participate in strategic initiatives to expand access and enhance operations.
• Collaborate with quality and compliance teams to uphold federal, GCP, and GDPR regulations, and support site activation and training as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a health-related field required.
• Active RN license in good standing with the state.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in oncology clinical research.
• CITI GCP training.
• Strong knowledge of federal clinical research regulations, GCP, and GDPR.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and EHR/CTMS systems.
• Advanced degree (MSN, MHA, MBA, or related) preferred.
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy immunotherapy certificate and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment with demanding deadlines.
• Approximately 80% of time spent sitting; intermittent travel (<10%) for site activation and training.
