Summary:

Seeking a Scientist to contribute to flow cytometry and cell-based assay projects, including assay development, validation, and execution. The role involves supporting laboratory operations, troubleshooting, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure high-quality scientific output and compliance with laboratory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute flow cytometry and other immune assay projects, ensuring timely and accurate results.
• Design experiments, analyze data independently, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive improvements in laboratory productivity and efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Assist in developing, updating, and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) and laboratory protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve routine scientific and technical issues in the laboratory environment.
• Identify and implement emerging laboratory techniques and support operational qualification of new equipment.
• Maintain safe laboratory practices and collaborate with technical teams for resource sharing and expertise.
• Contribute to scientific writing, including grant applications, proposals, publications, and presentations at scientific meetings.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in life sciences or a related field.
• 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Expertise in flow cytometry with both whole blood and isolated cells.
• Experience monitoring cell-mediated immunity using flow cytometry, ELISpot, ELISA, and MSD.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to organize, analyze data, and prepare scientific reports.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism, Diva, and FlowJo.
• Excellent judgment and discretion in laboratory settings.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to differentiate colors across the full spectrum.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. overhead with assistance; frequent sitting, grasping, and finger dexterity required; exposure to cold freezer environments (-20ºC to -196ºC).
• Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English.
• Understanding of GLP, CAP/CLIA, or ISO standards preferred.
• Experience with immunophenotyping assays, primary cell-based assays, ELISpot, ELISA, and Mesoscale preferred.
• Experience with cell sorting techniques preferred.
