Job Title: Principal Investigator - CNS: Psychiatrists

Summary:

This part-time opportunity is designed for experienced psychiatrists or neurologists with substantial psychiatric clinical trial experience to lead CNS clinical studies. The role offers flexible hours and competitive hourly compensation, focusing on oversight and execution of clinical research protocols in the CNS/psychiatry field.

Responsibilities:

• Lead CNS clinical trials as Principal Investigator, ensuring adherence to study protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee and review informed consent processes for study participants.
• Assess and monitor patient eligibility and safety throughout the duration of the study.
• Conduct or supervise protocol-required procedures and psychiatric evaluations.
• Collaborate with study coordinators and external research partners to ensure smooth study operations.
• Maintain accurate and timely source documentation and case report forms.
• Participate in study startup, enrollment, maintenance, and closeout activities as required by protocol timelines.
• Provide general oversight and ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable guidelines.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted license in California.
• Board certification in Psychiatry is strongly preferred.
• Neurologists considered if they have significant experience as PI or Sub-Investigator on psychiatric clinical trials.
• Prior experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator on industry-sponsored CNS/psychiatric studies.
• Familiarity with standardized psychiatric rating scales is preferred.
• Active DEA registration is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to commit approximately 3–5 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
