Job Title: Technical Specialist

Summary:

The Technical Specialist delivers advanced technical and maintenance support in a clinical setting, focusing on the upkeep and troubleshooting of complex facility systems and equipment. This role emphasizes the development of expertise in Healthcare Technology Management, regulatory compliance, and the maintenance of a wide range of clinical and facility infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair complex electromechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within a clinical environment.
• Interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to conduct root-cause analysis and execute repairs.
• Perform routine and systematic preventative maintenance on critical support systems, power systems, and clinical electronics.
• Create and implement maintenance checklists to reduce downtime and ensure operational readiness of facility equipment.
• Provide technical expertise in motor controls, PLC programming, generator and power backup systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Coordinate with clinical staff and external vendors for specialist repairs and procurement of parts as needed.
• Accurately document maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment status in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to expand technical knowledge, stay updated on medical device regulations, and support evolving departmental needs.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Industrial Electronics, or a related technical field.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, electronic systems, PLCs, motor controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
